Dr. Xie joined the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Rice in July 2023. Before coming to Rice, he worked as a Harvard Quantum Initiative Prize Postdoctoral Fellow in Amir Yacoby’s group at Harvard in close collaboration with Pablo Jarillo-Herrero’s group at MIT. Previously, he received his Ph.D. in Physics in 2019 under the supervision of Ali Yazdani at Princeton University and was a normalien étranger at Ecole Normale Supéreure in Paris.

Wentian Zheng

Wentian is a postdoc and joined our lab in June 2024. He received his PhD from Peking University under the supervision of Prof. Ying Jiang. He is now working on scanning SET microscopy of 2D materials.
Jiawei Hu

Jiawei is a postdoc and joined our lab in June 2024. He received his PhD from Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, under the supervision of Prof. Hongjun Gao. He is now working on scanning SET microscopy of 2D materials.

Zihan Wang

Zihan is a second-year graduate student in Physics and joined our lab in August 2023. Zihan graduated from the University of Science and Technology of China. He is now working on projects aiming at understanding correlated and topological phases in graphene moiré heterostructures.
Yuxuan Yao

Yuxuan is a second-year graduate student in Physics and joined our lab in January 2024. Yuxuan graduated from Tshinghua University. He is a 2D-stack wizard but now mostly working on scanning single-electron-transistor microscopy of 2D materials.
